Overview
ICT fields Women’s Daytime League singles and doubles teams that compete against clubs throughout the Twin Cities, September through April. Each team is made up of six to ten women at a given NTRP skill level and is coached by an ICT teaching pro. On a weekly basis teams meet to either train or compete. It’s a season-long way to play regularly and have an absolute blast with a consistent squad.

Team and Match Format
- Singles Teams — 6 players per team. On match days half the lineup plays at home and half plays away. Matches run 90 minutes, regular scoring, with a 10-point match tiebreaker in place of a third set.
- Doubles Team — 4 pairs (8 players) per team. On match days all teams play at a single site, either home or away. Matches run 2 hours, regular scoring, with a 10-point match tiebreaker in place of a third set.
- Whether singles or doubles, match times can vary by home site, so away matches may run on a different schedule than ICT’s.
Membership & Fees
- A current USTA membership (valid through the following May) is required both to register and to take the court for match play. Check your status or purchase one, or call USTA at 1-800-990-8782 with membership questions.
- A InnerCity Tennis standard or premium membership is required to join a team, though not to substitute.
- Match/practice fees: $27 per singles session (1.5 hrs) · $25 per doubles session (2 hrs).
Team Rosters
ICT creates team rosters using USTA ratings and the prior year’s results, and aims for parity between ICT teams. Players with matching ratings can request to be paired on the same team with a friend (singles), partner (doubles), or non-partner buddy (doubles). We will do our best to honor preferences, but cannot guarantee it.
Team Practices & Missed Matches
Teams practice on nearly all weeks that no match is scheduled. Attendance at your scheduled off-week practice is required. Can’t make it? Find your own sub or pull from ICT’s sub list — no-shows are charged the practice fee. If you’re going to miss a match or a practice, submit the Online Pink Slip as soon as you know, so your team and ICT can plan around it.
Scores & Standings
Find your team on USTA’s TennisLink site — enter your team number under “Stats and Standings” to see results.
Player Ratings
ICT staff have the responsibility to check the validity of all player ratings. They may do so by reviewing your current USTA computer rating, previous ICT league play, or ICT rating clinics for players without one on record; players requesting to play up a level are seeded behind players at their actual rating. New to league play or unsure of your rating? Sign up for a rating clinic.
