Support InnerCity Tennis

EVERY DOLLAR MAKES A DIFFERENCE

ICT facilitates life-changing youth development programs for kids all across Minneapolis: in parks, in schools, and at our Reed Sweatt Family Tennis Center. Our participant demographics reflect the diversity of our city in all its dimensions: racial, ethnic, physical and cognitive, family income, and more.

None of it would be possible without your support. Thank you.

On February 20th, James “Jim” Dorsey, a longtime supporter and member of the ICT community, passed away. His obituary can be found here. At the recommendation of his family, ICT is gratefully accepting gifts in his memory. You may note your memorial intention using the form below.

To make a gift “in honor of” or “in memory of” someone special, ICT would be honored to receive it. You can donate online by selecting “Dedicate this Donation” during the process. You’ll have the option to send an e-card notification to the individual or, in the case of a memorial, to a surviving family member. You can also make gifts offline; just let ICT know your intention.

Many Twin Cities employers offer employee gift and volunteer hour matching. ICT partners with Double the Donation to make the process of requesting your match as easy as possible.

Use the tool on our matching gift page to see if your employer will match your support.

If your fund is with Fidelity, Schwab Charitable, or BNY Mellon, you can recommend a gift via DAFDIRECT.

A qualified charitable distribution is a tax free transfer from an IRA to a qualified charity and can made after age 70½. It is not an itemized deduction so you can still use the standard deduction and get a tax benefit.

A “QCD” can work in tandem with a Required Minimum Distribution which is required after age 73 from retirement accounts such as traditional IRAs. You are required to withdraw a certain amount each year and you pay taxes on those withdrawals unless you make use of strategies such as contributions.

Consult your financial advisor and, if eligible, request a “qualified charitable distribution” be made to the InnerCity Tennis Foundation.

More Information

Online donations trigger an automated receipt to the email address provided. That email serves as a donor’s receipt of contribution. Donors to ICT of offline contributions over $250 will receive a physical receipt mailed to their physical address on file. Any donor may request a duplicate receipt for any gift at any time. Simply reach out to ICT’s Associate Director, at john.bussey@innercitytennis.org.

We recognize our donors in a number of ways, including through our printed and online Annual Report. Should you prefer that your support for ICT be given anonymously please indicate your preference while you make your gift.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact ICT Associate Director John Bussey at john.bussey@innercitytennis.org.
